The 5000 D, DS, and DX series by Allerair is virtually ready to use out of the box. All you need to do is install the filter set. AllerAir ships the D, DS, and DX products in 2 separate boxes to assure freshness and reduce shipping costs. Otherwise, it is 1 box fully ready to use. They include all the standard filters and accessories needed to operate the unit as intended, but there may also be upgradeable filter and accessory options available per model that will be clearly defined within the product's page. Once you receive your air purifier, just plug it in and get ready to breathe fresher, cleaner air!
IMPORTANT NOTE: All savings & retail price are quoted based on 5000 Exec unit as the base unit. As you upgrade & customize your model, be aware of the additional charges that may apply.
AllerAir 5000 Series Air Purifiers
These all-purpose units are a whole-home air purification systems that are ideal for homes and offices less than 1500 sq ft. AllerAir 5000 Series filters fine particles, airborne pollutants, chemical gases and odors. They feature a cylindrical shape for maximizing air-flow and a four-stage powerful filtration system.
The 5000 series is our most popular line of air purifiers, with the most available options and the best value for maximum air cleaning. Choose from this series for the ideal indoor air quality
solution for most homes and businesses. Featuring up to 27 pounds of activated carbon for effective chemical, gas and odor adsorption, plus a HEPA filtration system to remove particles that
trigger allergies and asthma. These air cleaners provide the perfect protection for average-size rooms (max 1,500 square feet), and come in a wide array of colors to match any décor.
This unit (without UV) is ARB certified for California.

1. Your Carbon Thickness: Basically the thicker the carbon the better the filtration for chemicals, odors, and VOC and the longer it may last. A unit’s filter depth is key to its adsorption capacity. Your choices are as follows:
- Standard - 18 lbs, 2.5" Carbon Bed (GOOD)
- D - 24 lbs, 3" Carbon Bed (BETTER)
- DX - 27 lbs, 3.5" Carbon Bed (BEST)
2. The model of 5000. This options is specifically related to the need to filter VOCs. You have many choices in the 5000 series.
- Exec (Standard) - Wide spectrum protection for an excellent value. Offers quality chemical, gas, odor, and particle filtration. Our Exec carbon is our general-purpose blend, ideal for trapping a wide range of airborne chemicals, gases and odors.
- Vocarb (Vocarb) - A step up from the Exec. Designed to tackle heavy concentrations of airborne pollutants, odor, & Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Examples of VOCs are formaldehyde and benzene. Our Vocarb carbon is our boosted blend, offering a more aggressive removal of hard-to-trap airborne chemicals, gases and odors. This blend is best suited for newly renovated environments, unknown contaminants and/or formaldehyde. Best for wildfire and other Vocarbs.
- Smoke (S) - Ideal for where smoke is the primary issue

3. UV Module: The UV module/lamp is used for viruses and bacterial concerns. This is NOT available for California.
