Austin Air Replacement Filters Are Interchangeable

Austin Air Purifier Replacement Filters are interchangeable within their 200 or 400 series. You can order any of the filters listed below as long as they are within the same series. A lot of customers use certain types of Austin filters for part of the year and then change to a different Austin filter for other applications, as needed. This makes the Austin Air Purifier very versatile in that you are not forced to buy the same filter blend that originally came with the unit. You can change the type of Austin filter to meet your needs.

All four 400 Series (Standard - 1500 sqft) air purifier filter replacements will fit within any of the 400 Series air purifiers from Austin Air. 400 Series Models include: HealthMate (HM400), Allergy Machine (HM400 HEGA), HealthMate Plus (HM400 Plus), and The Pet Machine.

All four 200 Series (Junior - 700 sqft) air purifier filter replacements will fit within any of the 200 Series air purifiers from Austin Air. 200 Series Models include: HealthMate Jr. (HM200), Allergy Machine Jr. (HM200 HEGA), HealthMate Plus Jr. (HM200 Plus), and The Baby's Breath.

Here are the applications for each Austin filter:

HealthMate and HealthMate Jr. - This filter is for General Purpose air cleaning of fine allergen air particles and odors. The most popular and common filter bought by Austin Air customers due to the fact that it does a great job in cleaning allergens and odors from the air for most general applications. This is a True HEPA filter with Activated Carbon.

Allergy Machine and Allergy Machine Jr. - This filter is geared more towards better cleaning of the air from allergy producing particles such as pollen, dust, and dust mites. Excellent for those with asthma. Does not do as well at containing and eliminating odors due to the fact that there is no activated carbon like the other filters offered by Austin Air. Uses an Upgraded HEPA Filter (HEGA) with Military Carbon cloth in place of the activated carbon.

HealthMate Plus and HealthMate Plus Jr. - The Best protection from the Austin Air filters. Geared towards removing heavy concentrations of fine particle allergens and strong odors from the air. It has an Upgraded True HEPA filter to trap more particles and includes more activated carbon to contain stronger odors.

The Pet Machine - Specifically designed filter for pet owners to help in the control of pet dander and pet odors.

The Baby's Breath - Specifically designed filter to capture and contain allergens that can lead to asthma and other allergies in infants.
